Aims and Editorial Policy: THE JOURNAL OF APPLIED NUTRITION (JAN) is an official publication of the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN).  JAN is a multidisciplinary journal which publishes papers in the area of nutritional prevention and treatment of disease and in the maintenance of optimal health; practical applications are emphasized, particularly the roles of the supplementary macro- and micro-nutrients.  JAN publishes original scientific articles, literature reviews, hypotheses, rapid communications, case reports, correspondence, book reviews, and literature abstracts.  In vitro and cell culture studies will only be accepted insofar as they are used to provide mechanistic insights of animal or human data.  All original reports, literature reviews, hypotheses, and rapid communications submitted to JAN are peer-reviewed by two or more experts in the appropriate field; the final decision rests with managing editor.

Subscription Information: THE JOURNAL OF APPLIED NUTRITION (ISSN 0021-8960) is published 3 times a year.  The annual subscription rates in the U.S.A. are $89.95 for individuals and institutions, $40 for students (certification required); foreign subscription rates are $110 and $50, respectively.  Subscription to the on-line version only is $49.95 for all subscribers.  Subscription inquires and change-of-address notices should be sent to International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists, 15280 Addison Rd., #130, Addison, TX 75001, (972) 407-9089.
